There's a saying... "You can't manage what you can't measure", and that is certainly the case when it comes to Power. To enable customers of the OCDC to manage their power usage, OMNIconnect has provided our colocation customers the ability to view their power usage at a rack, server, or oven port level via a PC or smartphone.
Since the Carbon Tax started in Australia on July 1, people have started thinking about those 'black balloons' a little more than they used to. Providing customers the ability to view historical trends and changes in power consumption empowers customers to make better choices of IT infrastructure and to be environmentally responsible.
