Setting up your Email in Outlook 97

  1. Open Outlook 97
  2. In the Tools menu, select Services...
  3. If 'Internet Mail' has already been added, click on the Properties button. If 'Internet Mail' is missing, click on the Add button and select 'Internet Mail' then click OK.
  4. In the Full Name text box, type your full name
  5. In the E-mail address text box, type your Omniconnect e-mail address (e.g. johnsmith@omni.net.au)
  6. In the Internet mail server text box, type mail.omni.net.au
  7. In the Account name text box, type your Omniconnect username (e.g. johnsmith)
  8. In the Password text box, type your Omniconnect password
  9. Click on the Advanced Options button
  10. Enter the outgoing mail server mail.omni.net.au in the text box and then click OK
  11. Click on the Connection tab, and make sure Connect using the modem radio button is selected.
  12. Click Apply
  13. Click OK

Note: For Customers using an 0198 number to connect to the internet, please select Tools >> Accounts, and double click on your account. Go to the Servers tab and place a tick in the check box next to "My Server Requires Authentication".
